Jerome Campbell est un skater professionnel de l’équipe Carhartt WIP et aussi un photographe. Dans ce vidéo intitulé Lightworks, réalisé par Phil Evans, on met de l’avant le côté artistique de Campbell ainsi que son amour pour le skateboard. « C'est un skater talentueux qui sait prendre des clichés intéressants et un bon photographe qui voit le skate d’un œil différent. »

Aaliyah had a track called "Back & Forth" in '94, and I still remember the outfits in that video. They we're pretty on point, on top of that, R.Kelly does a 2 second cameo in it, enough said! Anyways, all that to say that OTH does not only consist of the shop, but there is also the office / gallery right down the street. A back and forth routine was created between these two spaces and I. Un lancement qui a décollé
Hier se tenait le lancement de la 2e édition de notre magazine Off The Hook. Kyle Kalma AKA Beard Man était de la partie pour mixer et mettre de l’ambiance dans la place, tout comme l’espace photo où les flashs immortalisaient les poses de tous et chacun. Très populaire, le mini-bar offrait des rafraîchissements aux saveurs montréalaises avec la fameuse bière Broken7. La boutique s’est remplie en peu de temps, accueillant autant de visages connus que de nouveaux curieux, tous épatés par nos magazines qui circulaient de mains en mains.
Un gros merci à tout le monde pour votre présence qui soulignait le travail acharné de cette deuxième édition. Nous avons déjà hâte de vous présenter la suivante…
Yesterday was the launch of the second edition of our Off The Hook magazine. Kyle Kalma AKA Beard Man was on the mix and we also had a photobooth to immortalized the magazine cover. The very popular mini-bar was offering refreshments to Montreal's own Broken7. The shop was filled from front to back in a short time with regulars and also with newcomers who were all amazed by our magazine which circulated from hand to hand.
A big thank you to everyone for your presence which made all the hard work that went into this second edition worth it. We look forward to seeing you for our next edition...
Avec l’arrivée des deux nouveaux magazines chez OTH, vous risquez d’avoir une soudaine envie de lire. Le magazine HYPEBEAST a sorti sa première édition de 2014 avec The Rhapsody Issue. Pour son 6e numéro, HYPEBEAST met en couverture G-Dragon, représentant la synergie musique/mode et l’essence même du magazine.
De son côté, le magazine The New Order lance son 10e numéro dans lequel on retrouve une série de clichés du célèbre photographe Kenneth Cappello. Également au travers des 220 pages : Alexander Wang, TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist., UNUSED, Wacko Maria, Chimpom, et Giovanni Ribisi. Bonne lecture!
With the arrival of two new magazines at OTH, you may have a sudden urge to read. Hypebeast released its first edition of 2014 with The Rhapsody Issue. For its 6th issue, Hypebeast gave the cover to G-Dragon, representing the synergy music / fashion and the essence of the magazine.

The last time that I have posted anything on the site can be counted in years... The last time you saw me, you probably thought that I don't even work at the shop anymore. Wrong! I have just been good at hiding in between the racks, juggling from the warehouse to the office, to the floor in a ninja stance mode. You probably did not even pay attention. Above all, you probably didn't care for that matter. Truth is, it is now my 8th year in the Upperground... I think now is the time to dust off my camera and put it back to work. I will be sharing some insights of the shop in between the pretty model shots and the products that we push. I shall share anything that I like. Random thoughts and sporadic shots... Like the other day, I was scouting with G-Man for a shoot we doing for DC. I have a weird love for big empty spaces, but I don't know why? So peaceful but also creepy...
